Bundy Hills Off Road Park
Bundy Hill got its name from the original land owner Mr. John Bundy. Located on US-12 approximately two miles north of Jerome in Somerset Township. The spot became a well known landmark in the twenties when The Michigan Observation Co. built a stick built tower on the highest point in the area. This same company built a similar sightseeing tower at a high point in the Irish Hills where a subsequent battle ensued between the company and a local residents in regards to who's tower was taller.
Though the Irish Hills towers remain to this day, the Bundy Hill tower was torn down around 1956 to make way for a commercial mining operation that would literally take the hill down the road. Millions of yards of its high quality aggregate is spread over the southern part of Michigan and Northern Ohio to construct many major freeways and roads. The mining operation was run until 2012 by Richard Davidson and then turned into the off-road recreational park, it is today.

The park is a vast 350 acres that opened to the public on Labor Day weekend of 2009. In 2011, twenty new, challenging trails, were added that have been groomed specifically for A.T.V.s, O.R.V.s, Jeeps, bikes, side-by-sides, 4x4 rigs and crawlers. On these trails you'll find everything; mud, rock crawls, tire crawls, wooded trails, steep hills, gullies, pea-gravel climbs, hood deep water, and plenty of off camber challenges throughout the park. Bundy Hill Offroad is an alcohol free, and a family friendly place to wheel for all ages.
