Out and About
We welcome all guests and their families to our meetings and our trail rides. Prospective members always ask "What can I expect from your club?". That's tough to answer but you will typically receive more than you give which is the culture of our club. We take time to teach our new members how to tread lightly and perform safe vehicle recovery. Be it the first time on a trail ride or a seasoned veteran everyone is welcome. You could say we have an open door policy or in terms of a Jeep maybe no doors! Just wanting to join is not a reason for us to accept you. It is a 2-way 'trail'. We want to get to know you and for you to get to know us before you officially become a club member. You are welcome to join us for our next meeting or trail ride as a first step to become a "Wolverine Four Wheeler". We require you to attend as a guest to at least 3 of our events (trail ride, meeting, etc.)
Our general membership meetings are generally held the first Saturday of every month at either a member's home or a public place. The meetings are in the greater Detroit area and begin at 7:00PM and generally last about 60-90 minutes. We cover the club's business as we operate as a non-profit entity and also discuss our outings and trips. We have light refreshments and a chance to get to know us better. Membership dues are $50.00 per family annually paid in May. This includes membership to Wolverine Four Wheelers, United Four Wheel Drive Association, and Great Lakes Four Wheel Drive Association.

Check back often as updates will be posted here along with new outings. Hope to see you at our next meeting or out on the trail.
Club Members: Please use the club members only page to indicate if you are coming to a meeting or an event.
We had a lot of requests as to what do I need to bring with me. For starters your own food and water as we have most everything else to either pull you out or perform a simple trail repair. We have prepared a list of items along with links that may be helpful as you better equip your vehicle for trail. Happy Trails!!

Michigan ORV Regulations
Individuals riding in places other than private property will pay $16.25 annually. Riders wishing to use state designated trails will pay an additional $10 annually. The additional revenue will allow the department to add miles of trails and connections to communities and provide for the inspection, maintenance and improved safety of the trail network.
ORV licenses are available from the DNR at DNR Operations Service Centers, over the Internet at http://www.mdnr-elicense.com, by mail, through participating ORV dealers, and through participating hunting and fishing license agents. For the ORV scramble area at Silver Lake State Park (Sand Dunes) you must also have a flag mounted to the front of your vehicle. The warning flag must maintain a minimum 10-foot height at standstill and a minimum 8-foot height under motion. The flag is mounted at the top of the staff and it must be rectangular, international orange in color, solid material, with a minimum length on the supporting side of five inches and a minimum length on the base side of 10 inches. Flags are available for purchase at various retailers around the park. |
