WOW 2017 - Moab, Utah
In June of 2017 the Wolverines gathered in Moab Utah for a week of four-wheeling and fellowship. This was our first organized trip to Moab and some of the members first time there as well. As part of the trip the attendees were able to order event shirts. Due to the trip being in June they decided that aa nice light weight shirt was appropriate. With temperature over 100 every day it was a good choice and the orange color mimicked the red rocks of the high desert.
The base camp was Moab Valley RV park and the group armed with the Moab trails guide book and trails loaded on the GPS they were all set.
The trail book is called: “Guide to Moab, UT Backroads & 4-Wheel-Drive Trails” which is published by Funtreks. They also have a website FUNTREKS.COM and the ISBN for the guide is 978-1-934838-25-9 which lists for #34.95. GPS or GPX files are also available on their web site.
The week started off with Fins & Things on Monday morning. Top of the World was on Tuesday and some of the group did Delores River Overlook in the late afternoon. On Wednesday they visited 7 Mile Rim trail along with Hidden Canyon. After dinner the group went out to see the dinosaur tracks and gaze at the stars. Thursday was Gold Bar Rim and some arches. On Friday most of the group either headed for home or took the day off for sight seeing at the parks. Only 2 Jeeps headed out to the Flat Iron Mesa along.

The Wolverines had to also stop for an Ice Cream Social since it was so hot. At least that is the excuse we used!
